Requirements
National Diploma in Civil Engineering and /or NQF level 6 civil engineering qualification. Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in the Engineering field of work. Candidate must demonstrate a high level of Communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills, be able to work overtime, have problem-solving skills, and be able to make correct independent decisions. Candidate must have knowledge of safety standards and labour law as well as fleet management and assets register. Candidate must be computer literate. Candidate must have a valid South African driver’s license preferably code (08). Candidate must not have a criminal record.
Duties
Responsible for supervision of roads and stormwater team. Provide administrative support to the team. Report on progress and compile weekly/monthly/annual divisional reports and attend departmental meetings. Ensure operational safety and that the machines are compliant with traffic laws and road worthy.
